Our Story

About-AP-Pic1A Production Cleaning Company, Inc. (APCC) is a commercial cleaning company founded by Anita Bycraft-Walker.  In 1993, Anita found herself destitute and unemployed, with no job, no car, and no savings.  She wanted desperately to make something out of her life – and she wanted to work.  Anita began walking from house to house searching for cleaning jobs, and after a few months she was cleaning homes on a daily basis.

Armed with little but her first set of business cards, Anita started driving to new construction sites and commercial office buildings in Ann Arbor, Michigan to speak in-person with prospective clients.  Within six months, she had landed three major accounts (University of Michigan, St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, and Crosswinds Communities), and APCC was on its way.
About-AP-Pic2“I have a passion for helping people, and women like me need a chance to run with a dream and a vision.  My company helps the homeless and provides transportation for those who do not have a car. We provide employment for people on welfare and who are homeless. My desire is to help people find work and provide for themselves, and to provide a safe and healthy environment for all of my employees.”

“My passion is to help those who never got a chance,” says Anita.  “I want to employ them, encourage and motivate them, and serve as an example…I want them to know that if they work hard and stay motivated, they can be successful no matter what.”
